On the afternoon of March 30th, 2021, the strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony of SEU with Nanjing Municipal Government Offices Administration and the unveiling ceremony of the Institutional Affairs Research Center of SEU were successfully held in the Sipailou campus. The Institutional Affairs Research Center of SEU is a part of the School of Economics and Management, intending to focus on innovative management research in institutional affairs in the new era, making full use of our interdisciplinary theoretical advantage in management, law, sociology, and the practice of Nanjing Municipal Government Offices Administration. It also planned to seek out new creative methods for institutional affairs revolution problems such as the development of the institutional affairs integration around the “Nanjing metropolis circle”, green institution formation, achieving “peak carbon dioxide emissions” along with “carbon neutrality”, and the cultural construction of institutional affairs, forming a typical institutional affairs management sample with Nanjing characteristics in the country.

Firstly, Ren Lijian, the Deputy Party Secretary of SEU gave a speech. He threw light upon the importance of establishing cooperation and the research center through China's system and capacity for governance. He also introduced the current subject construction, staff and talent cultivation, and campus construction of SEU. He also looked forward to the inspiration the research center would produce at all times, in all directions, and in all subjects, which would help the school to cultivate first-class students in the world with leadership, make full use of the intelligence and creativeness of the researchers, and win glory for the school and the institution.

Zhang Xiaoping, Minister of Nanjing Municipal Government Offices Administration, gave a speech. He pointed out there were three main cooperation points in the strategic cooperation relationship between Nanjing Municipal Government Offices Administration and SEU. The first one was that we could gain much from each other’s advantages, attach great importance to the missions and projects which keep the city party committee and city government running effectively, and hold theoretic discussions, political research and group conversations together with foresight and pertinency. The second was to make our political advice matter, taking part in the discussion of important decisions in Nanjing institutional affairs, the practicability of important files and reforms, the strategic planning and evaluation, and technological support, and giving expert, constructive and practical political advice. The third one was to cultivate first-class talents, and provide teaching resources support for training, continuing education and other aspects for the staff of the Nanjing institutional affairs system within the scope of the policy.

Then the signing session began. Ren Zuping, headmaster’s assistant of SEU, and Chen Haijian, Deputy Minister and party member of Nanjing Municipal Government Offices Administration, signed the Southeast University -Nanjing Municipal Government Offices Administration Strategic Cooperation Agreement together, with the heads of the two sides witnessing the whole procedure.

After the signing was done, Ren Lijian, the Deputy Party Secretary of SEU, and Zhang Xiaoping, Minister of Nanjing Municipal Government Offices Administration, unveiled the Institution Business Research Center of SEU together, marking the establishment of the Institutional Affairs Research Center!
